Time for another Diary Session about life in a Kung Fu School.
What’s up in Maling Kung Fu Academy?

I haven’t been writing much lately and that just has one very simple reason. We are having august and it is bloody uncomfortable hot at the moment.
Without air-conditioning and proper isolation our rooms turned into saunas and the electric fans we got barely keep us alive and give us the possibility to at least sleep somewhat comfortable.
Sitting down and writing long posts while sweat drips down my legs just isn’t the most comfortable situation to be in.
To say it in short: I hate summer and I am about to die!!!!!! Ok I am being overly dramatic, but I haven’t probably trained since a month now. Either I am knocked out with a horrendous headache short before collapsing because I simply can’t sleep during the night, just tossing from one side to the next or it is so hot I can’t be bothered to even move.
How to you know it gets too bad? When you have a shower and as soon as you start drying yourself with the towel you break into a sweat.
I am done with summer!
Right now I am sleeping on a Bamboo sheet, which is surprisingly comfy and at least stays cool much better then the normal mattress.
But the heat has one good point. They regularly clean out the pond and fill it with new water. So guess what we are having our very own pool. If I just could sleep in it, I’d be in heaven 😉
Besides that minor inconvenience my forms seem to become better and I think my knees are strong enough now for me to take up running again next week.
I am pretty sure I will regret it because of the heat, but time to get back on the horse and train probably at least until the next headache attack.
And to really show that I mean it I and some of the other students have started Insanity. It’s a 60 Day program that is pretty much as it sounds: INSANE!
First training Day yesterday and what can I say, we all have sore muscles…if this doesn’t get my cardio back I don’t know what else would.
Two weeks ago we have been to Dengfeng and I did get some major weapons shopping done.
I will show you everything I shopped and the prices during this week. In short time for another : Let’s go shopping in China post!
What else is new in the school?
Quite a few people left last week. All the Danes are gone for example. Now there are just about 12 students left and 2 more will leave soon. Kinda sad seeing everybody go, but then that’s just live in a Kung Fu School.
But then there are always new people coming too, like Emma, a girl from Norway. Her name made our teachers smile quite a bit, because one the school dogs is also called Emma. So there are quite a few laughs when somebody screams again “emma shut up”. That dog simply barks too much 😉
Enough jokes, emma seems lovely.
Now with all the competitions done, read here and here (These are Blogs from students who participated in the competition). Life is back to normal at the school and everybody is just waiting for the weather to start cooling down and for the Mosquitos to disappear…they are eating me alive.
Ohh before I forget it. We are heaving a new translator. She is adorable, very sweet…just needs a bit more practise actually talking.
Lastly we also had kids training here for 6 month and they were great fun to watch. Now they are gone and it is awefully quite in the school. Never thought I would say that, but I’d love to have them back.
What can I say my life wasn’t very eventful lately…just trying to survive the weather xD
But what comes now?
But next week will be a lot more intersting. We got an Interview with a Shaolin Master and posts from Dengfeng comming up, a big article about lots of places in China off the beaten track (collection post with other Bloggers) and then I am back in Shanghai for a couple of Days, getting new fun stuff for you aaaaaand finally starting the work on my Fitness E-Book.
So I will keep you updated with life in the school and some other fun stuff^^
