Yes I have a confession to make. I love the Oktoberfest or any kind of festival like that.

My sister just sent recently sent me pictures from the Cannstatter Wasen ( here is a post I wrote about this Oktoberfest Alternative) and I was so sad that I was going to miss it this year.

Until my friends in University asked me if I would want to tag along to the Oktoberfest in SHANGHAI.

Yes even in China they have something like that now and ohh Boy it was awesome.

There were two revenues in the city, we picked the one in the French Concession Area and went on a Sunday. Thus the price was just 245 RMB for a 3-Course Meal, as much Beer and Coffee (Yes decent yummy coffee) and Soft Drinks as we could drink

What a steal?!

Yes, for sure, for China it was a rather expensive evening, but comparing this prices with home, that was a deal I just couldn’t say no to, especially because I was craving some German Food and Bread.

So let me show you the pictures and maybe next time you are in Shanghai in October you will give this a try too? 😉

Enjoy the pictures =)

So what is on the Menue today. There where over 5 different Menus, from which you had to pick one in advance for the whole table. Each had a 3-course Meal with typical German dishes.

They served Bread before the actual Meal and ohh a Bretzel with Butter, I was really missing here in China =D

Then the first course came, a fish plate with bread and I was already full after that one. (Just finished my first Liter of Beer, don't you love big glasses ;) )

There was a German Band and they even played some traditional games. The hat had to be moved in a circle according to the tact of the music and if you let it drop you are out =)

The dessert ! What more is there to say 😉

Finally onto Beer 3...After that I was done, I was so full that there was no more drinking for me, just dancing and singing...this was an amazing Party...Btw. First I didn't want to go, but the lovely lady left in the picture told me about the 3 Meal-Course before we went out to eat. So she caught me in a very weak moment, but in the end I am super happy I tagged along =D
