Well Pudong those not only have the nicest Ladies Night in town, but also the most amazing skyscrapers.

If you are into mega cities and high buildings, you don’t really have another choice but to visit Pudong at least once. Amazing restaurants, great hotels, lots of huge firms and banks, and actually some really decent lunch deals.

I love to take a stroll around that area.

No other place makes me feel so tiny and astonishes me so much. It is amazing what people can build, simply mind-blowing.

You have two options to get there either the metro or you take the tunnel (lots of advertisement for a not so very special attraction, if you have the money go for it, just one-way will be fine.

It is the typical crazy, colorful, flashy attraction. Lot’s of very crazy lights, that’s
what a drug trip must be like xD. At the other end you will find some strange museums, f.e. a strange sculpture museum where you can take the most weird pictures. Ever wanted one next to a giant food or a man in the shower? Go for it xD.

But there is actually a third way to get over from the city center to Pudong.

Take the ferry 😉

It’s super easy, get off at East Nanjing, walk to the Bund and turn right. Follow the signs until you reach the ferry terminal. The transport cost 2 Rmb and brings you straight to the other side of the river. It is a 10 min drive and gives you a bit of a new perspective^^

I totally loved it =)

Once you “landed” in Pudong walk to the left and follow the signs. You will end up at a nice park, with lots of fancy restaurants and a promenade along the river.

Walk around there, treat yourself to a coffee. If you are in the mood head to the “Insect Kingdom”.

I actually was looking for the stupid Sex Museum. No clue where I head that information from , but the website must have been really out of date-.- Because this museum was moved 2006. So to make this clear and safe all of you loads of time searching: THERE IS NO SEX MUSEUM IN SHANGHAI.

Yes I was slightly disappointed.

I did my research later, it first got moved to Tongli (where I have been too and it clearly wasn’t there) and it’s said to now have moved to Henan Province. But I am kinda done searching for it-.-

The Insect Kingdom didn’t strike me as a good enough replacement, which is why I went to the Pearl Tower.

A bit of different perspective of the Oriental Pearl Tower

Where is the Pearl Tower? Well easy thing, it is the huge skyscraper who has three round balls around it’s middle. It is really hard to miss trust me 😉

I didn’t go up. Did that already 5 years ago. We skipped the upper spear and just went for the restaurant in the 2nd sphere to have drinks there. I am not sure if this is still possible…otherwise the tickets are I think 200 Rmb for and adult, to visit the everything and I for sure am not willing to pay that much. It became a pretty big touristy attraction over the last years and for me it kind of lost it’s charm.

From there I couldn’t help it and went to the Super Brand Mall. Just wanted to have a peak inside. In between the High Class Brands I even found an H&M.

And I found something else. This is for all the EXTREME Harry Potter Fans out there in Shanghai. The Harry Potter Exhibition is in Shanghai until the 28th February.

BUT I want to give you a fair warning. I went to the Exhibition while it was in Cologne and it was a bit disappointing. Prices where high, after not even an hour we had seen everything and somehow we just expected more. There was the train and the sorting hat and some fun stuff to try, but all in all, the magic was missing a bit.

If you still love Harry Potter and you are in Shanghai during that time, why not have a peak inside. It will at least be a memory you will most likely never forget^^

Otherwise there are lots of other things you can visit in Pudong, mostly high buildings 😉 But I would say, take a stroll on the elevated foot way, get yourself a nice cup of coffee and simply enjoy the view and flair 😉

If you liked this article or you know somebody who will be traveling to Shanghai soon, please share this post =) Thank you ^^
